She was born Mary Anissa Jones on March 11, 1958
in Indiana. Her father was John P Jones and her mother was (is) Mary P Tweel. Anissa's family eventually
moved to Playa Del Rey, CA where Anissa caught the attention of producers of the new sitcom "Family Affair." (It
is said Brian Keith spotted her and Johnny Whitaker during auditions and thought they were the perfect match to play his TV
children. The original script called for Jody to be quite older than Buffy, but after seeing the two work together,
Keith convinced the producers to make the children twins.) At any rate, Anissa played "Buffy" for the entire duration
of the series, 1966- 1971. Anissa lived much of the time with her mother, Paula Jones at 100 E Rees St, Playa Del
Rey. According to police reports, Anissa was found dead in a bedroom in a house located at 2312
Littler Lane, Oceanside CA at approximately 12:27 pm on August 28, 1976. Autopsy reports indicated Anissa died from
"self-administered overdose of barbiturate, phencyclidine, cocaine and methaqualone poisoning." The death was ruled
an accident. Assistant San Diego County Coroner David J Stark (presumably) performed the autopsy and signed the
death certificate. Anissa's body was taken to McCormick Funeral Home in Inglewood, CA and sent to the Pacific Crest
Crematory in Redondo Beach, CA for cremation. Her ashes were scattered at sea on September 1, 1976. She
reportedly had no funeral. Today Anissa is in peace.
